(HQ PMG)
 HQ PMG was based in Arawa. I believe it was originally the local community
centre. The HQ was home to all the high ranking staff that coordinated
the whole operation. I was based here and looked after all the IT staff
that supported the operation. The majority of the staff that worked
here also lived in Arawa in a number of local houses. A number of local
children visited us and we had a local dog who had her puppies out
the back of the main building.
Our large communications satellite
dish was based here so we had data and voice links back to
Australia. The HQ was a good place work except we had o kitchen
facilities and had to have our meals delivered daily.
